Who we are
Econpeak is an IB DP Economics revision website operated by an independent IB DP Educator and Examiner. For privacy questions, account deletion, or requests about your information, email hello@mathbanks.com.
Information we collect
- Accounts: your email address, account identifier, sign-in method, and account creation and sign-in records. If you use an email and password, Supabase handles password authentication; the site operator does not receive your readable password.
- Google sign-in: Google supplies basic account information, which can include your Google identifier, email address, name, and profile picture. Supabase processes this information and the tokens needed to authenticate you. The account page displays your email address.
- Technical information: hosting, authentication, and analytics services process information such as IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs.
- Purchases: if you buy an essay or a pass, Stripe processes your payment. We receive and store a record of the purchase with your account: what you bought, the amount and currency, the time, your email address and Stripe’s reference numbers. We never receive or store your full card number.
- Messages: if you email us, we receive your address and whatever information you include.
How we use information
We use account information to create and manage your account, sign you in, keep your session working, and send confirmation or password-reset emails. We use technical information to deliver and secure the website, investigate problems, and understand how resources are used. We use purchase records to give you access to what you bought, to handle refunds and support, and to keep the financial records the law requires. We use messages to respond to your requests.
Browsing revision resources does not require Google sign-in. Google sign-in requests only basic identity information (openid, email, and profile), not access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, or calendars. We do not sell personal information or use Google account information for advertising.
Browser storage and analytics
Supabase stores authentication session information in your browser’s local storage so you can stay signed in. Temporary session storage remembers the page to return to after Google sign-in. Signing out ends the econpeak session in that browser; clearing site data also removes locally stored session information.
Econpeak uses Google Analytics on its production website to understand page visits, navigation, and device usage. Google Analytics can use cookies and device identifiers. Our analytics configuration disables Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals, does not load analytics on the sign-in or account pages, and strips query strings and fragments from the page URLs it sends. We do not deliberately send your account email, password, or authentication tokens to analytics.
You can manage cookies and site storage in your browser, block analytics, or use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking or clearing authentication storage can affect sign-in.
Services that process information
We use these services to run econpeak. They process information under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Supabase provides account authentication and storage of account records. Our current Supabase project is hosted in Seoul, South Korea.
- Vercel hosts and delivers the website and processes operational requests and logs.
- Stripe processes payments, including your card details, billing information and fraud-prevention checks.
- Google provides optional Google sign-in, Google Analytics, and the fonts loaded by your browser.
These services may process information in countries other than yours. Access by the site operator is limited to what is needed to operate the website and respond to requests. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address abuse or protect the service.
Retention and deletion
Account information is kept while your account exists. To request access, correction, or deletion, email hello@mathbanks.com from your account’s email address. We may need to verify the request before acting. Operational logs, analytics records, and backup copies have separate retention periods under the relevant service settings and may remain for a period after an account is deleted, including where needed for security or legal reasons.
You can remove econpeak’s Google access through your Google Account connections settings. Removing Google access does not itself delete an econpeak account or necessarily end an existing econpeak session; sign out and contact us if you also want the account deleted.
Students and privacy
Econpeak is designed for IB DP Economics students and educators. Please do not send sensitive personal information when using the site or contacting us. A student or parent with concerns about an account or information supplied by a child can contact us using the address above.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our information practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
